FORTUNE LAKE

Chapter 1 : A New Start

Hey There ! I Am Donut ! Don't Worry This Is Not A Boring Story About A Donuts Life It's About My Freshmen Year In High School And Moving From My Hometown To Another Country ( Quite Similar ) ! My Real Name Is Donatello Mayhem ! Pretty Odd Name And In The Following Pages You Are Gonna Join Me In An Odd Adventure Called LIFE ! There Is Nothing Much To Say About Me. I Am Just A Normal Average Girl Who Is 15 Years Old And Is Waiting To Somehow Get Through My First Year In High School And Whats More Scarier Than Going To High School You Ask Me ? Moving From Your Hometown To Another COUNTRY And Starting Everything Over Again From The Beginning Is Tougher. I Moved From Cambridge U.K My Birthplace To New Hampshire U.S. I Not Only Moved By Countries But I Moved By CONTINENT TO CONTINENT !!!. The Things That Are Done In The U.K Is Not Exactly The Same As Of What Is Done In The U.S So You Can Say That I Had A Hard Time Fitting In, And On The Good Part Of Moving Out While I Lived In Texas I Lived In A Condominium And I Love Nature ! That I Am Not Really Into Living In A Building Which Is Covered By Buildings Like Seeing A Tree From My Condominium Was A Rare Thing But Here In The U.K I Live In The Forest Like LITERALLY Inside A Forest !

My Dad Was A Surgeon And My Mom Was A Teacher Both Of Them Died In A Car Crash When I Was 3 Years Old ! And Since Then I Have Been Living With My Grandpa. He Is A Geologist Not A Very Common Career But I Think His Job Is Pretty Cool. He Says That He Works To Understand The History Of Our Planet On Side Note He Is Secretly A Scientist Too. He Basically Collects Or Finds Minerals From Our Earth And Researches On Them And Does All The Other Stuff That He Is Supposed To Do As A Geologist And Then Creates An Invention Out Of The Natural Mineral That He Researched On. He Calls The Result From His Research Amazing ! I Call It Abnormal So, Either Way I Find His Work Cool ! And So While We Were In ( U.K ) His Troop Of Friends Who Are All Retired Geologists. He Is A Part Of A Retired Geologists Association Which Contains All His Old Pals.....They Found A Platonic Change In Earths Crust At This Part Of The Forest And That's Exactly Where My New House Is. The Area In Which My House Is Located Is Called ( Fortune Lake ).....So You Can Basically See How Dedicated My Bubba ( My Grandpa Used To Make Me Call Him Bubba When I Was Little And So The Habit Of Calling Him Bubba Just Sticked With Me And I Still Call Him Bubba ) ( Not Embarrassed ) Is To His Job. I Love My House Because It's NotOnly Inside A Forest It Looks Too Natural That You Will Doubt If It Was Built ( Man Made ) Or It Was Naturally Made. We Just Moved In So There Is Basically A Lot Of Stuff To Unpack.

As Much As I Love My New House It Looks Very Creepy In The Night But Its Alright I Might Be Able To Find A Friendly Ghost Like Casper But For Sure I Won't Be Happy If Instead Of Casper I Got To Find Fatso / Stinky / Stretch Or Literally Any Kind Of Ghost Except For Casper ! The Part That I Am Excited About Now Is To Find A Room In My New Humongous House ! When You Walk In You See A Grand Veranda And In The Middle Of The Hall You See A Spiral Staircase Which Leads To The Second Floor So As I Walk Up To The Second Floor I See Numerous Amounts Of Paintings Of People And Photographs Of People That I Haven't Even Learnt In My History Class. As I Walk Up The Stairs Admiring All The Paintings. I Am A Art Freak. I Just Love To Draw And Paint. As I Reach The Top Of The Floor I See 4 Rooms And I Choose The Leftmost Second Room Which Faces The Hill Which Also Has A Stream Running Through It, And I Find My Room Looking Like The Dirtiest Place In The Whole House. It Is Covered With Cobwebs And Dirt. I Open The Window That Is In My Room Which Is Really Big For A Window That U Will Doubt If It's A Window Or An Other Exit Out And I Have A Very Nice View Of The Hill And The Stream And A Cold Breeze Of Night Hits My Face And I Feel Myself Getting Sleepy And So I Go Down And Say Good Night To My Bubba And Go Back To My Room And Get My Clothes And School Bag Ready For Tomorrow Because Tomorrow Is My First Day Of High School And I Am Nervous But Now Is Not The Time To Get Anxious Its Time To Brush My Teeth And Go To Sleep. My Bed Is Still Packed In One Of The Many Cardboard's That Are Left In The Hall And I Am Too Sleepy / Lazy To Go And Search Which Box It Is In And Open It And So I Just Planned To Sleep In The Bed Which Is Already Here... Yes Its A Fully Furnished House With Antique Furniture's That Has Not Been Used For Years Or Even Centuries. The Cot Of The Bed Looks Royal But I Am Not A Big Fan Of The Bed As It Doesn't Have Springs But I Just Fell Asleep On The Bed Which Faces The Gigantic Door Sized Window And So I Just Left The Window Panel Open And Slept With The Nights Cold Breeze Peacefully Not At All Worrying About My First Day Of High School. Little Did I Know That This Would Be The Last Day Of Sleep Without Creeps......

Capturing Moments, Creating Magic: My Journey as the Publicity Officer in Monash Malaysia Photography Society

Oh boy, it's been quite the journey from "Publicity Subcom" to "Publicity Head" at the Green Representative Monash Club! I've been spreading eco-love like a caffeinated squirrel on a mission. 🌱☕ But guess what? During one of our beach cleanup escapades, I managed to network with the members of the Photography Society. 📸 Those camera-wielding wizards needed a Vice Publicity Officer, and my response was faster than a cheetah chasing a perfectly lit sunset! 🐆🌅 Why, you ask? Well, I figured if I can make Mother Nature look good, why not turn my lens toward humans too? 😄🌿 So, my debut act as the Vice Publicity Officer was all about recruiting the next generation of board directors. I decided to jazz it up with a retro theme – because who can resist a good old-fashioned throwback? It was like stepping into a time machine, only with more pixels and fewer bell bottoms. 🕺💾 Now, I'm not just spreading the green gospel; I'm capturing it in pixel-perfec...

COVID-19 - A Way Of Nature To Reclaim It's Space

Coronavirus (COVID-19) It is quite sad that the year that we all waited for is the same year that has turned the entire world upside down and into turmoil. By now you would have already guessed what I'm running to address here. Coronavirus (COVID-19) which originated from Wuhan, China. It's a virus that is spreading quickly and many more are becoming infected and some even dying. To contract the coronavirus you first have to come in contact with it either through an infected person's respiratory secretions such as a cough or a sneeze, through physical contact with them or by physically touching a surface that the virus is on and touching somewhere like your nose or your mouth before washing your hands, once the virus can enter the body, it's work can begin. The coronavirus has RNA which is the genetic information that is needed by any virus to replicate. Once the virus comes in contact with your cells it binds to receptors on that cell and once it finds its passage...

Navigating the Leo Club as the Publicity Officer: A Tale of Passion, Purpose, and Creative Adventures

In the world of community service and philanthropy, there's a spark that ignites when you find the perfect platform to channel your enthusiasm. For me, that platform was the Leo Club, where I embarked on a remarkable journey as the newly appointed Publicity Officer. As I look back on my journey so far, it's a blend of creativity, camaraderie, and a dash of humor that has defined the first quarter of my term. Revamping the Logo: The moment I stepped into my role, I knew it was time for a fresh start. The first task on my agenda was to breathe new life into our club's logo. It was more than just an image; it was our identity. The logo revamp was like giving our club a makeover, aligning it with the theme I had envisioned. Announcing the Change: With the new logo in place, I couldn't resist making a grand announcement. Instagram, our digital canvas, was my playground. I wanted the world to know, so I crafted a post that screamed change and progress. It was a small step, bu...
