FORTUNE LAKE

Chapter 2: First Day.

I Woke Up And It Took Me 20 Whole Minutes To Understand That I Wasn't In A Parallel Universe And That I Was Just In My New Home. I Forgot To Set My Alarm For The Trillionth Time And I Am Running Late For The First Day Of School! I Run Downstairs And Meet My Bubba Who Is Reading Newspaper And I Just Drink The Coffee That He Made For Himself, Because I Don't Have Time To Make My Own And Run Down The Corridor And I Finally Got To The Main Door And Got Scooted Off In My Bicycle And That's When I Realized How Rocky The Path From My House To The Main Road Actually Is And Then I Reached The Main Street And Cycled As Fast As I Could And Reached The School ! I Am Not Too Late!

The Gate Was Still Opened And So I Just Ran To My Class And Found A Desk To Sit And I Got All Nervous And Anxious Because It's My First Day Of School And Also Because Of A Girl Who Was Staring At Me With Straight Blonde Hair Whose Face Looked Like It Was Made Out Of Nothing But Makeup And Then Soon Enough Two Girls Joined Her One With Red Curly Hair Wearing Spectacles And The Other Girl Had Her Black Hair Tied In A Ponytail And Had An Athletic Feature And Soon Enough All Three Of Them Were Staring At Me And I Turned Away Hoping That They Will Stop Staring At Me. After A Few Seconds I Turned Back To Look At What They Were Doing And They Were Legit Staring Like A Hawk Monitoring Over Its Prey, And Thankfully The Bell Rang And So My First Class Which Was History ( My Favorite Subject ) Started And Mr.Gong Our History Teacher Walked In The Class And He Was Wearing Baggy White Pants And Yellow Full Hand Shirt And A Red Tie And He Also Had A Hat On. His Attire Didn't Match At All And I Begin To Wonder If He Was Somehow Related To The Lovegood's.

When He Asked Us To Take Out Our Textbooks, A Girl Came Running In, And I Thought I Was Late. She Had Orange Hair Black And White Shirt And Squared Spectacles. She
It's Megan D'Souza
Came In And Apologized To Mr.Gong For Being Late And Her Excuse Was That She Missed The Bus, And Mr.Gong Reminded Her That She Comes To School In A Bicycle And Not By Bus And To Think About What Kind Of Excuse To Make Before Entering The Class, And She Came And Sat Beside Me And She Said " Hey ! Newbie ?! Cool! My Name Is Megan D'Souza. You Can Call Me Meg. This Is My Third Year In This Same School. I Am From Texas. Where Are You From? I Am 15. Wanna Be Friends? " And She Held Out Her Hand And We Shook Hands To Declare That We Can Be Friends And I Introduced Myself As Well.

That's When Mr.Gong Called Out My Name For Attendance. He Said " Miss Donatello! Unique Name You Have Got There Miss.Would Like To Come And Introduce Yourself To The Class? " This Was The Part That I Was Scared About This Part. Introducing Myself To A Bunch Of Strangers And Three Girls Who Already Look Like They Dislike Me, But Still, I Gather Up The Courage And Go To The Front Of The Class And All I Am Hoping In My Mind Is That I Am Not Going To Stutter, And I Introduce Myself By Saying " Hi Guys ! I Am Donatello Cooper. I Am From Cambridge U.K. I Have Never Been To The U.S Before. I Really Hope We All Can Get Together And Have A Nice Time Together. " And When I Was Gonna Go To My Seat The Girl With The Straight Blonde Hair Spoke " Donatello Cooper Huh ?! More Like Donut Eater " And She Started Laughing Along With Her Other Two Friends And That's When I Noticed A Guy With Jet Black Hair And Hazel Eyes. He Spoke Up For Me Saying " Be Nice To People Stella. " And Mr.Gong Warned Stella And Her Friends Not To Bully People While I Was Just Standing Awkwardly In The Center Of The Class, And When Finally After All The Advice's To Stella And Her Friends From Mr.Gong Was Finished. Mr.Gong Sent Me Back To My Seat. Saying " Not To Let Stella Spoil My Day." As I Went Back To My Seat Meg Told Me That It's Alright And Not To Worry About It And That's Just How Stella Is To Everyone And That It Would Have Been Surprising If She Hadn't Made A Rude Comment Towards Me.

The History Class That I Have Been Anticipating The Most Actually Started And We Learnt Facts From The World War II. It Looked Like I Was The Only Person Who Was Active In Mr. Gong's Class And Meg Was Practically Half - Asleep While The Rest Of The Class Was Looking Like They Were Ready To Take A Nap Any Second. I Took Notes From His Lectures And When The Bell Rang Everyone Jumped Up And Was Brisk As They Were Never Before. Next Was Math Class. Math Has Never Been My Sport But One Thing In Math Class Surprised Me. From Meg's Inactiveness In History Class I Thought She Wasn't A Studious Kind Of Person But  She Is Really Good In Algebra And Commonly In Math. In The Whole Of Math Class Her One Hand Was Taking Notes And The Other Hand Was Up Indicating, That She Knows How To Solve The Problem's, And So On The Day Went With Classes.

Finally, It Was The End Of The Day And It Was Time To Go Back Home, And So I Bid Farewell To Meg And She Gave Me Her Phone Number Just Incase I Wanted To Talk. I Took Off On My Bicycle To My House. On The Way Back Home I Was Reviewing In My Mind Of All The Things That Happened Today And In Conclusion It Was A Pretty Good Day. It Could Have Been Lot Worse Than Stella Just Calling Me A " Donut Eater ". I Mean I Do Like Donuts Though. As Mind Was Filled With Positive Thoughts I Forgot Which Way I Was Riding And I Realized That I Was Already Inside The Forest And Took The Wrong Turn, And I Passed My House And I Am Just Going Deep Inside The JUNGLE!

Capturing Moments, Creating Magic: My Journey as the Publicity Officer in Monash Malaysia Photography Society

Oh boy, it's been quite the journey from "Publicity Subcom" to "Publicity Head" at the Green Representative Monash Club! I've been spreading eco-love like a caffeinated squirrel on a mission. 🌱☕ But guess what? During one of our beach cleanup escapades, I managed to network with the members of the Photography Society. πŸ“Έ Those camera-wielding wizards needed a Vice Publicity Officer, and my response was faster than a cheetah chasing a perfectly lit sunset! πŸ†πŸŒ… Why, you ask? Well, I figured if I can make Mother Nature look good, why not turn my lens toward humans too? πŸ˜„πŸŒΏ So, my debut act as the Vice Publicity Officer was all about recruiting the next generation of board directors. I decided to jazz it up with a retro theme – because who can resist a good old-fashioned throwback? It was like stepping into a time machine, only with more pixels and fewer bell bottoms. πŸ•ΊπŸ’Ύ Now, I'm not just spreading the green gospel; I'm capturing it in pixel-perfec...

COVID-19 - A Way Of Nature To Reclaim It's Space

Coronavirus (COVID-19) It is quite sad that the year that we all waited for is the same year that has turned the entire world upside down and into turmoil. By now you would have already guessed what I'm running to address here. Coronavirus (COVID-19) which originated from Wuhan, China. It's a virus that is spreading quickly and many more are becoming infected and some even dying. To contract the coronavirus you first have to come in contact with it either through an infected person's respiratory secretions such as a cough or a sneeze, through physical contact with them or by physically touching a surface that the virus is on and touching somewhere like your nose or your mouth before washing your hands, once the virus can enter the body, it's work can begin. The coronavirus has RNA which is the genetic information that is needed by any virus to replicate. Once the virus comes in contact with your cells it binds to receptors on that cell and once it finds its passage...

Navigating the Leo Club as the Publicity Officer: A Tale of Passion, Purpose, and Creative Adventures

In the world of community service and philanthropy, there's a spark that ignites when you find the perfect platform to channel your enthusiasm. For me, that platform was the Leo Club, where I embarked on a remarkable journey as the newly appointed Publicity Officer. As I look back on my journey so far, it's a blend of creativity, camaraderie, and a dash of humor that has defined the first quarter of my term. Revamping the Logo: The moment I stepped into my role, I knew it was time for a fresh start. The first task on my agenda was to breathe new life into our club's logo. It was more than just an image; it was our identity. The logo revamp was like giving our club a makeover, aligning it with the theme I had envisioned. Announcing the Change: With the new logo in place, I couldn't resist making a grand announcement. Instagram, our digital canvas, was my playground. I wanted the world to know, so I crafted a post that screamed change and progress. It was a small step, bu...
