Innimael Aavathu Moodungalaen Da! (Will You Close It Now At Least?)

...Surjith... The toddler that fell into the borewell almost four days back has been dug out dead... This is not the first time we have lost a child due to a borewell not being closed! While everybody is sending their deep condolences to the kid's family. I just have many questions to ask... Why didn't the people who took the time to dig the borewell didn't have the time to close it? The borewell that sujith fell into was dug by his own family and so, people might say that they didn't have the money to close it due to poverty and reasons but what about all the other "government" dug borewells that were left unclosed and took the life's of many other sujith's? Who is to blame? Tamil Nadu Water Board (குடிநீர் வடிகால் வாரியம்) They dig borewells for a good cause which is to get water but why don't they close it?! They get commission to dig the borewells but no one gives them commission to close what has been opened. The price? The life of i...

I don't care and I don't know are two phrases which are miles away from each other!

Let's first break the title of my blog. I don't care - means not caring and I don't know - means not knowing. Two different things rite? but people mismatch its usage all the freaking time! This happened today. I was hanging out with a friend of mine and it was around lunchtime, and I asked him "Where do you wanna go?"  "I don't care" So, I said, "Let's go to Burger King!" He was like "Meh, I don't want burgers" Did you see what happened there? He LIED! He said he didn't care when he totally cared! If he truly didn't care he would have shut everything and came to burger king with me but nope he totally cared. It's not that he didn't care it's that he didn't know. A very big argument that I get into almost every time I ask people what they want to eat. It's okay to say that you don't know or as long as it is not burgers I don't care. Being selective about your I don't ca...

...Board Exam...

Hola Amigos! ✌ Board exams. The name itself somehow makes a shiver run up your spine, doesn't it? If you are studying or have studied CBSE then, you know that you have to go through hell and back in the name of board exams two times in your school life. Once in standard 10 and then again in standard 12. I finished my class 10 exams a month and around 10 days back. My results were released last week. One valuable lesson that I learned the day my results came out was "Love hurts but exam results kills" unless you are school first or state first then it is a totally different story and congratulations to you! Now don't assume I'm a tenth fail or something I got a decent 84% but when the question "Is it enough?" arrives, I immediately turn pale and look like an anemia patient. Board exams are always so stressful from the moment the dates of the examinations are announced until the date your results are being released. The stress level in every student...

AJ's Research Lab : Soil Testing

AJ's Research Lab ✌ The other day I went on a road trip and found this place full of lush greenery.                               I wanted to grow a garden of my own and started doing some research and learned that the amount of water required to grow a plant is equally important to the soil in which you grow the plant. For some plants, the soil has to be alkaline and for others acidic. So, how do you find the alkalinity and acidity of soil? By finding the soil's pH value. What is pH?                           pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution. Solutions with a high concentration of hydrogen ions have a low pH and solutions with low concentrations of H+ ions have a high pH. (It's confusing. I know) The PH level is measured from 0-14. The neutral levels are 6-7. If you use a meter and your soil is mea...

Mensturation. A part of nature or a problem?

Menstruation. Man up and read the rest. ✌ There are few people who hear this word every day and still pretend as though they have no idea what it means because of the taboos and myths that surround menstruation. It is considered to be dirty, smelly, disgusting and even gross at times. During those three days that every girl or woman goes through her menstruation, they are almost forced to go through a period of time filled with pain, embarrassment, distress, discomfort, shame, anxiety, and even isolation. Is this how menstruation is supposed to be treated? Gross, disgusting, impure? Menstruation is the only blood that is born without violence and yet it is the one that disgusts us the most. When people think menstruation is impure and isolate it from bringing it into any topic of discussion. They forget one very important thing. Periods / Menstruation is the gateway for life. If women stopped getting their periods it basically means that the continuity of life on earth has offic...
