...Board Exam...

Hola Amigos! ✌

Board exams.

The name itself somehow makes a shiver run up your spine, doesn't it? If you are studying or have studied CBSE then, you know that you have to go through hell and back in the name of board exams two times in your school life. Once in standard 10 and then again in standard 12. I finished my class 10 exams a month and around 10 days back. My results were released last week. One valuable lesson that I learned the day my results came out was "Love hurts but exam results kills" unless you are school first or state first then it is a totally different story and congratulations to you!

Now don't assume I'm a tenth fail or something I got a decent 84% but when the question "Is it enough?" arrives, I immediately turn pale and look like an anemia patient. Board exams are always so stressful from the moment the dates of the examinations are announced until the date your results are being released. The stress level in every student's life is the highest when they are typing in their roll number and waiting for the screen to load to see their mark sheet.

I wouldn't be surprised if a survey said most kids get strokes and heart attacks during that three minutes that it takes to load to your mark sheet page or three hours loading time if you are using internet explorer. As if board exams and results aren't the only stressful things we have to go through the aftermath that follows the board exams which are equally horrifying. Some people will call you nuts for sulking over anything above 80% and the rest would be more disappointed on hearing your marks than you yourself originally were.

Comparison. Comparison. Comparison!!!

This is really annoying, isn't it? Anyone can compare. No one knows how hard you worked for your exams they can sit on a recliner doing nothing and compare you with someone better. You could have got a 90% and your family will be gloating with joy and pride but the moment your distant cousin gets a 95% from being the topper in your relative's eyes you automatically become the loser. The fastest way to kill a human, in my opinion, is to compare him/her to someone else. Comparison is the side effects of board exams.

The one thing that hit me like a truck after a fortnight of my results?

No matter how hard you work, no matter how much you score, no matter how happy you are with your marks other people's shining armor will always make you feel so much inferior to who you really are as a person. Comparison sucks. I ask my family not to compare me with the other kids but somehow end up doing it to myself anyway. I guess that's how human's work. Ask people not to discourage you and then end up doing it for yourself.

Get out of it. Stop comparing yourself. Stop letting people compare you and when they don't listen learn to ignore, it does magic trust me. You are at the start of something new and stop letting someone else's progress discourage you. Whenever you even think of comparing yourself to someone else remember that you are insulting yourself. Do not tolerate disrespect, even from yourself. Be your own competitor. Don't let someone else be your rival be your own rival. That's the best way you can be a better version of yourself every time you fall down and get right back up on your knees.

Scored low marks in your board exams and it is still eating you up even tho its been two weeks? Remember this "Your exam results do not define you as a person or predict your future!" There is so much more to life than just your mark sheet. (It's kinda important though because we live in a world where marks give you respect) My point is don't just give up because of one failure. You have so much more to do and so, work for that. I know you are tired. I know you are physically and emotionally drained but you have to keep going but don't quit, don't give up, your day will come. So, wait and work for it. Life will give you many chances to make it or break it. It's in your hands whether to make it or break it.

A.N:  The reason I made this article is to just let people know that your mark sheet doesn't determine your existence and scoring less than what you expected is not a good enough reason to kill yourself. This article is in remembrance to the boy who had killed himself because of his standard 12 results. Anyone thinking of killing yourself just remind yourself that suicide doesn't take away the pain, it simply passes it on to someone else. Stop making permanent decisions over temporary feelings. Your life is not worth it. Everyone deserves to Live. Laugh and Love. Stay happy. Life is too short to be depressed over temporary feelings. Let go. Never give up. Work hard. You will reach your goal one day.

Capturing Moments, Creating Magic: My Journey as the Publicity Officer in Monash Malaysia Photography Society

Oh boy, it's been quite the journey from "Publicity Subcom" to "Publicity Head" at the Green Representative Monash Club! I've been spreading eco-love like a caffeinated squirrel on a mission. 🌱☕ But guess what? During one of our beach cleanup escapades, I managed to network with the members of the Photography Society. πŸ“Έ Those camera-wielding wizards needed a Vice Publicity Officer, and my response was faster than a cheetah chasing a perfectly lit sunset! πŸ†πŸŒ… Why, you ask? Well, I figured if I can make Mother Nature look good, why not turn my lens toward humans too? πŸ˜„πŸŒΏ So, my debut act as the Vice Publicity Officer was all about recruiting the next generation of board directors. I decided to jazz it up with a retro theme – because who can resist a good old-fashioned throwback? It was like stepping into a time machine, only with more pixels and fewer bell bottoms. πŸ•ΊπŸ’Ύ Now, I'm not just spreading the green gospel; I'm capturing it in pixel-perfec...

COVID-19 - A Way Of Nature To Reclaim It's Space

Coronavirus (COVID-19) It is quite sad that the year that we all waited for is the same year that has turned the entire world upside down and into turmoil. By now you would have already guessed what I'm running to address here. Coronavirus (COVID-19) which originated from Wuhan, China. It's a virus that is spreading quickly and many more are becoming infected and some even dying. To contract the coronavirus you first have to come in contact with it either through an infected person's respiratory secretions such as a cough or a sneeze, through physical contact with them or by physically touching a surface that the virus is on and touching somewhere like your nose or your mouth before washing your hands, once the virus can enter the body, it's work can begin. The coronavirus has RNA which is the genetic information that is needed by any virus to replicate. Once the virus comes in contact with your cells it binds to receptors on that cell and once it finds its passage...

Navigating the Leo Club as the Publicity Officer: A Tale of Passion, Purpose, and Creative Adventures

In the world of community service and philanthropy, there's a spark that ignites when you find the perfect platform to channel your enthusiasm. For me, that platform was the Leo Club, where I embarked on a remarkable journey as the newly appointed Publicity Officer. As I look back on my journey so far, it's a blend of creativity, camaraderie, and a dash of humor that has defined the first quarter of my term. Revamping the Logo: The moment I stepped into my role, I knew it was time for a fresh start. The first task on my agenda was to breathe new life into our club's logo. It was more than just an image; it was our identity. The logo revamp was like giving our club a makeover, aligning it with the theme I had envisioned. Announcing the Change: With the new logo in place, I couldn't resist making a grand announcement. Instagram, our digital canvas, was my playground. I wanted the world to know, so I crafted a post that screamed change and progress. It was a small step, bu...
